If your Work Permit holders are residing in Purpose Built Dormitories, you should make arrangements with the dormitory operators for workers in dormitories cleared of COVID-19 infections to visit the POSB bank branch to collect the ATM card.
If your Work Permit holders are residing in other accommodation types (e.g. Factory Converted Dormitories, Residential Areas), you should make arrangement for them to visit the POSB bank branch to collect the ATM card, subject to safety assessments in light of COVID-19 risks.
Meanwhile, you should make arrangements to pay outstanding salaries in cash to your workers, and offer to help them to remit salaries.
You should inform your Work Permit holders to contact POSB at 1800 339 6666 to request for an ATM card replacement.
POSB would conduct security verification and checks before sending a new ATM card and PIN mailer to the mailing address as per POSB’s records. It will include your Work Permit holders’ bank account details.
If your employees have their ATM cards but cannot remember their bank account details, you can still pay their salaries electronically using Corporate Paynow by indicating their FIN.
From 14 July, you can also pay salaries using Corporate Paynow by indicating their FIN.
Most of your foreign employees can activate their bank accounts remotely through SMS or DBS / POSB Digibank app.
For those who need to activate their bank accounts at ATMs, officers deployed at the dormitories will make arrangements for them to do so at the ATMs within the dormitories or at the nearest ATMs, subject to safety assessments in light of COVID-19 risks.
