Communal facilities and activities in dormitories

In-dormitory communal facilities and activities may continue to operate, subject to approved capacity of the facilities' limits and measures.

Vaccinated-Differentiated Safe Management Measures (VDS) continue to apply to events with more than 500 participants at any one time and food and beverage (F&B) establishments such as canteens or beer gardens. While VDS remains for F&B, establishments no longer need to conduct vaccination status checks. Customers are responsible to abide by VDS, and random spot checks will be done on diners at F&B establishments to ensure they are fully vaccinated.

Dormitory operators will no longer be required to seek permission from the Assurance, Care and Engagement (ACE) Group to resume communal facilities in the dormitories.

Workers may meet other residents from the same dormitory at the communal areas, subject to prevailing Safe Management Measures (SMM). You may refer to the table below for the list of communal areas, communal facilities and activities.

  • Practise good personal hygiene

Workers should also keep their TraceTogether tokens as they may need the token for verification of their vaccination status in high-risk settings where Vaccinated-Differentiated Safe Management Measures are still in place.
