Advisory to employers - Cessation of Rostered Routine Testing for Special Pass holders

Issued on 5 April 2022

  1. MOM will remove the Rostered Routine Testing (RRT) requirement for MOM Special Pass holders with immediate effect. MOM Special Pass holders will no longer be required to take an Antigen Rapid Test (ART) under the RRT regime before they request for an extension of their Special Pass. The removal of RRT for MOM Special Pass holders is in line with the cessation of RRT for all sectors.

What should I do as an employer?
  2. For Special Pass holders with a Special Pass card: You are required to ensure that your pass holder reports to the MOM Services Centre to extend their Special Pass card on their Special Pass expiry date.
  3. For Special Pass holders with a Special Pass letter: If your pass holder requires more time to leave Singapore, you are required to submit a request for an extension of the Special Pass online at least one week before their Special Pass expiry date. For example, if the Special Pass expiry is on 15 April 2022, you should submit the request online latest by 8 April 2022. Please note that you will be prompted to upload supporting documents for the extension request, such as proof of flight cancellation from the airline and doctor’s memo certifying that pass holder is medically unfit to travel.
