Advisory on lifting of Vaccination-Differentiated Safe Management Measures from 10 October 2022

Issued on 11 October 2022

  1. On 7 October 2022, the Multi-Ministry Task Force announced that Vaccination-Differentiated Safe Management Measures (VDS) will be lifted from 10 October 2022.

    Lifting of VDS
  2. With the lifting of VDS, unvaccinated migrant workers may participate in activities which were previously restricted to vaccinated workers only.

    ActivityWho can participate
Dining in at food and beverage settings such as beer gardens and canteensUnvaccinated and vaccinated migrant workers
Attending events with more than 500 persons at any one time
While VDS has been lifted, we seek your assistance to urge our migrant workers to exercise personal responsibility by keeping their vaccination up-to-date and taking necessary precautions such as practising good personal hygiene, refraining from social interactions and seeing a doctor when feeling unwell.
  3. Within the dormitories, we will continue to require physical block segregation to protect our migrant workers should there be a variant of concern in the dormitories. This will allow dormitory operators to retain the ability to segregate quickly when necessary.
