Advisory - Employers whose foreign employees reside in a Factory Converted Dormitory, Construction Temporary Quarter or a Temporary Occupation Licence Quarter cannot be moved to alternative residences
Updated as of 19 April 2020
- On 19 April 2020, the Ministry of Manpower issued an advisory to employers who have employees currently residing in a Factory Converted Dormitory, Construction Temporary Quarter, or a Temporary Occupation Licence quarter. Their foreign employees are required to reside at the dormitory.
- Employers whose foreign employees reside in these dormitories are not permitted to move their employees to another residence unless the Ministry of Manpower instructs them to do so. This is to minimise the movement of people to limit the transmission of COVID-19.
