Work Injury Compensation (WIC) Self-Assessment Tool

Under the Work Injury Compensation Act (WICA), an employee who was injured in a work-related accident can claim from his employer medical leave wages, medical expenses and compensation for permanent incapacity or death, if any. The self-assessment tool provides injured employees, claimants, human resource practitioners, employers and insurers with an indicative amount of compensation payable under the WICA.

Check Status of Work Injury Claim

Parties to a work injury claim (i.e. the employer, injured employee/his dependant, insurer and legal representative) will be able to access the e-service below to check the status of a specific claim.

Authorised representatives of the employers, insurers and lawyers will also be able to check the status of all the work injury claims that are associated with their companies.

For the injured person or his dependant

You will require

  • SingPass and
  • Claims reference number or the injured person’s ID (NRIC, FIN or passport number) and the date of accident for this enquiry.

For employer, insurer and legal representative 

You will require the same information as the above. You can also check on all claims associated with your company. To do so, you need your company’s UEN and to be registered as “eService User” by your company.

To register as a eService User, you need to do the following;

  1. Appoint and register an eService Administrator. To do so, click here
  2. The eService Administrator to assign the eService users. To assign eService users, click here.

*Note: eService Administrator can appoint himself as the eService user.

A Guide to the Assessment of Traumatic Injuries and Occupational Diseases for Workmen's Compensation (5th Edition(Revised))

The 5th edition of the guide should be used for the assessment of all work-related injuries and occupational diseases with effect from 1 January 2007 (date of assessment). This will apply to all initial assessments done on or after 1 January 2007 (irrespective of the date of injury).

For injuries not included in the guide, reference should be made to the latest edition of the American Medical Association’s Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment.
