Influenza A (H1N1-2009) Advisories

Current Alert Status: YELLOW




Influenza A (H1N1-2009) is a new strain of influenza virus that spreads from human to human.  As this is a new strain of virus, most people will not have resistance, and it can potentially spread quickly and infect a large proportion of the population in a short period of time. Anyone who has contact with an infected person could catch the virus and fall sick. Singapore is currently at DORSCON alert status Yellow.


At the workplace, employers play a key role in protecting employees' health and safety as well as in mitigating the impact of H1N1 on businesses, the economy and society in general. To help both employers and employees better understand and effectively respond to Influenza A (H1N1-2009), the following advisories and FAQs have been issued:
