A Work Permit (WP) renewal notice will be sent two months before the WP for the Foreign Domestic Worker (FDW) expires.

The WP for FDW can be renewed in the 30 days before it expires. For example, a WP that expires on 17 December 2009 can be renewed from 18 November 2009 and latest by 16 January 2010.

Embassy Requirements

Certain embassies may impose further conditions/requirements on the employment of their nationals as FDWs. For example, some embassies will renew the FDW's passport only after the employer and FDW have taken up a standard employment contract drafted by the embassy.

Requirements imposed by the embassies are outside the Ministry of Manpower's purview.

You could consult an employment agency or the Embassy for assistance instead.
