A Work Permit (WP) renewal notice will be sent two months before the WP for the Foreign Domestic Worker (FDW) expires.
The WP for FDW can be renewed in the 30 days before it expires. For example, a WP that expires on 12 February 2007 can be renewed from13 January 2007 and 12 February 2007.
Certain embassies may impose further conditions/requirements on the employment of their nationals as FDWs. For example, some embassies will renew the FDW's passport only after the employer and FDW have taken up a standard employment contract drafted by the embassy.
Requirements imposed by the embassies are outside the Ministry of Manpower's purview.
