Print This Page Print This Page Email This Page Email This Page

A Foreign Domestic Worker (FDW) is expected to comply with Singapore's rules and regulations. The Government takes a serious view of FDWs who break the law or misbehave themselves.

Criminal Acts

You should call the Police immediately if your FDW physically abuses your family members or is suspected of committing a criminal offence e.g. theft. The FDW involved will be dealt with in accordance with Singapore's laws. Any FDW convicted will be banned permanently from working in Singapore.

Violation of Work Permit Conditions

You can provide feedback on FDWs via:

Domestic Permit Section

Work Pass Division

Ministry of Manpower

18 Havelock Road

Singapore 059764

The Work Pass Division will review the feedback you provide and place the FDW on records accordingly. This will be taken into account for the FDW's future Work Permit applications. However, the Ministry will not take action against the FDW for complaints on poor work performance.
