  1. Data refer to re-employment rates as at end of quarter for the locals retrenched in the previous quarter
    ( i.e. Re-employed within 6 months after retrenchment )
  2. There is a break in the series as demarcated by the vertical dashed line. Before 2007, data pertain to resident workers retrenched by private sector establishments each with at least 25 employees. From 2007 onwards, data also include the public sector.
  3. Annual figures are the simple averages of the quarterly figures.
  4. n.a. = Not available
