Strategic and Skills-in-Demand List
The Strategic and Skills-in-Demand List is a compilation of occupations that are key to supporting the growth of important economic sectors in Singapore. Job seekers can use this list to help plan their career. Foreigners possessing such skills are also welcome to apply for the Employment Pass/S Pass if they earn a fixed monthly salary of more than $2,500 and $1,800 respectively. The list was drawn up in consultation with industry and other government agencies. MOM regularly updates the list to take labour market trends into account.
The list was last dated on 1 November 2009.

Foreigners who are interested to apply for work passes (either Employment Passes or S Passes) are encouraged to take the Self-Assessment Tool (“SAT”)which will provide a preliminary indication of the likelihood of obtaining Employment Passes or S Passes, prior to the submission of their applications.
