Feedback gathering on the new amended WSH (First-Aid) Regulations

Workplace safety and health

  1. In 2006, the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act was enacted, replacing the former Factories Act. Along with the main Act, several subsidiary legislations were also enacted to support the new WSH framework, one of them being the WSH (First Aid) Regulations.

  2. In line with the extension of the WSH Act to all workplaces by September 2011, the WSH (First Aid) Regulations will also be amended to cover all workplaces. It is also timely to review the provisions of the Regulations to update and align them under the new regime.
  3. The Ministry of Manpower hereby invites you to give feedback on the proposed amendments to the Regulations. We are pleased to inform you that we have posted the consultation document on the Government e-consultation portal, REACH at www.reach.gov.sg. You can also access the portal here. The consultation exercise will last for two weeks, from 25 January to 7 February 2011.
