Cancellation of Temporary Work Permit
An employer should cancel the temporary Work Permit of the Malaysian confinement nanny once her services have been terminated.
How to Cancel the Temporary Work Permit
The employer/authorised employment agency has to request for the cancellation of the Temporary Work Permit via ‘Cancel-In-Principle-Approval (IPA)’ function on WP Online.
After Cancellation of Temporary Work Permit
The employer/authorised employment agency will be informed of the outcome via WP Online:
- On the same working day if the request was submitted before 8pm (Monday to Friday) or before 2pm (Saturday)
- On the next working day if the request was submitted after 8pm (Monday to Friday) or after 2pm (Saturday). Such requests will be considered as submissions on the next working day. The e-Cancellation service is not available on Sundays and Public Holidays.
The employer's levy liability ceases on the day the Temporary Work Permit is cancelled.
