Work Permit (Foreign Domestic Worker) - After you apply

Loss of Work Permit

The employer must apply for a replacement Work Permit card if the foreign domestic worker loses her card.

A foreign domestic worker who loses the Work Permit card while overseas should use the Disembarkation/Embarkation form for visitors when returning to Singapore. The employer may then apply for a replacement Work Permit card.

Applying for a Replacement Card

The employer has to bring the following items to Work Pass Services Centre:

  1. Application form for Replacement of WP card; and
  2. The foreign worker's original passport; and
  3. The destroyed/defaced Work Permit card (if applicable).

A fee of $60 for each replacement of Work Permit card is applicable; it is payable in cash only.

Workers are reminded to handle their Work Permit cards with care at all times. Strict action will be taken against the employers and workers who are found making false declarations on the loss of their Work Permit cards. Workers who lose their Work Permit cards repeatedly are required to attend an interview together with their employers. The application to replace the new Work Permit card is subject to approval.
