Training Work Permit - After you apply
Collection of Training Work Permit
Upon approval of the request for issuance of the Training Work Permit, the Foreign Worker should proceed to the Work Pass Services Centre with the Training Work Permit issuance notification letter within seven days for fingerprinting and photo imaging. The Work Permit card will subsequently be ready for collection in four working days.
The card can be collected at Work Pass Services Centre (WPSC) by the:
- Foreign Worker
- Employer; or
- Authorised representative.

Employers are required to register the residential addresses of Malaysian workers or foreign workers changing employers with Ministry of Manpower within five days of starting work.
Cancellation of In-Principle Approval
You should cancel the In-Principle Approval of your Foreign Worker if you no longer wish to request for the issuance of a Work Permit. This can be done online or in person.
Online Cancellation
An online cancellation through WP Online is valid only for the following:
- When the Training Work Permit holder is Malaysian, and the employer is the original Work Permit's applicant
- When the Training Work Permit holder is a non-Malaysian who is not in Singapore.
Manual Cancellation
For Malaysian workers
The employer may submit the request for cancellation of In-Principle Approval by:
Documents Required
- A request letter from the employer to cancel the In-Principle Approval. Please indicate the worker's name, Training Work Permit number and company's Central Provident Fund (CPF) Submission number in the letter.
- The original In Principal Approval letter
- A clear photocopy of the worker's passport
Non-Malaysian worker who is not in Singapore
The employer may submit the request for cancellation of In-Principle Approval by:
Documents Required
- A request letter from the employer to cancel the In-Principle Approval. Please indicate the worker's name, Work Permit number and company's Central Provident Fund (CPF) Submission number in the letter.
- The original In-Principle Approval letter
- A clear photocopy of the worker's passport
- The original copy of the Security Bond form and the schedule list, if the Security Bond has been executed
Non-Malaysian worker who has arrived in Singapore
The employer has to submit the following documents to the Work Pass Counter, Level 1, MOM Building:
- A request letter from the employer to cancel the In-Principle Approval. Please indicate the worker's name, Training Work Permit number and company's Central Provident Fund (CPF) Submission number in the letter.
- The original In Principle Approval letter
- A clear photocopy of the worker's passport
- The worker's passport
- The original copy of the Security Bond form and the schedule list
- A confirmed travel ticket to repatriate the worker to his/her home country within the next seven days of the date the documents are submitted
- A set of Training Work Permit application forms printed from Work Permit Online, if application is submitted online. The application form must be signed and endorsed with company's stamp.
