EntrePass - When you apply

Application Process

Step 1: Submission of Application

  • Download EntrePass Application Form. (Find out more on the eligibility criteria and important information before you apply for an EntrePass.)
  • Please refer to the List of Standard Occupation below before filling the 'Occupation' field in the application form:
  • Submit the completed EntrePass application form at any SingPost post office (MOM-appointed collecting agent).
  • An administrative fee of $40 will be charged for each new application. Payment should be made at SingPost via cash, NETS or CashCard.
  • A SingPost payment advice slip will be issued at the post office upon submission of an application. All applications will be sent to MOM.

Step 2: Approval In-Principle

A successful applicant will be issued an Approval In-Principle (AIP) letter and is required to register the company with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority.

Step 3: Submission of additional documents

Upon the applicant’s receipt of the company's business profile/Instant Information with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority, please mail or fax these documents to MOM’s Work Pass Division:
  • A copy of the company's business profile/instant information;
  • The Approval In-Principle Letter*; and
  • A bank statement, from the Singapore-based company bank account, of at least $50,000.

*Please note that the Approval In-Principle (AIP) letter differs from the In-Principle Approval (IPA) letter that is issued for approved applications and is required for collection of the EntrePass.

Step 4: Assessment and Approval

  • EntrePass applications are jointly assessed by MOM and the Standards, Productivity and Innovation Board Singapore. Due to the added complexity as compared to normal Employment Pass applications, the processing time may take about six weeks from the date of receipt of the application. In view of the relatively long processing time, applicants will not be granted an extension of their stay in Singapore upon expiry of their short term visit pass.
  • The applicant may check the assigned Foreign Identification Number (FIN) and application status online about 21 days after submitting the application.
  • Upon approval, an In-Principle Approval (IPA) letter, valid for six months from the date of the letter, will be mailed to the applicant's Singapore address indicated in the application form.

Step 5: Collection of EntrePass

Important information:

Please note that the grant of an EntrePass does not guarantee that:

  • The application for registration of a company will be approved by the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority. Such applications will be processed based on the authority’s criteria.
  • Any licences required for the establishment of the applicant's business will be approved by the relevant licensing bodies. EntrePass holders have to apply separately for the required licences.
