Cancellation of Pass
The EntrePass must be cancelled upon:
Cessation or Termination of Business
The EntrePass holder has to cancel the EntrePass within seven days upon termination of business. The EntrePass holder or a company representative can cancel the EntrePass electronically via EP Online.
Attainment of Singapore Permanent Residence
EntrePass holders who are granted Permanent Residence must cancel the EntrePass upon attaining the status.
How to Cancel a Pass
The EntrePass holder, a company or authorised third party (e.g. Employment Agency) acting on behalf of the EntrePass holder can cancel the pass electronically via EP Online.
Cancellation through Employment Pass Online
The EntrePass can be cancelled through EP Online - an online portal for selected work pass transactions. The cancellation status is available through Employment Pass Validity Status query page.

Short Term Visit Pass
A 30-day Short Term Visit Pass will be issued upon cancellation of the EntrePass.

Please note that when the main pass is cancelled, all other passes related to the EntrePass will be deemed as cancelled, with the exception that the pass holder has become a Singapore Permanent Resident. The
Dependant's Pass and/or
Long Term Visit Pass can be cancelled via EP Online. Failure to do so will result in the Dependant's Pass and/or Long Term Visit Pass holder becoming an overstayer.
Clearance
The amount of tax an EntrePass holder would have to pay depends on his tax residence and his level of income. Access the IRAS website to find out more about foreigners working in Singapore.
EntrePass holders are also required to seek tax clearance for their employees as well. Access the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) website to find out more about tax clearance.
After Cancellation of Pass
The EntrePass Holder, company representative or authorised third party (e.g. Employment Agency) acting on behalf of the EntrePass holder has to:
- Print the cancellation acknowledgment letter (if applicable) and Short Term Visit Pass (if applicable) via EP Online. The foreigner has to surrender the Short Term Visit Pass to the Immigration Checkpoint Officer at the point of departure.
- Return the EntrePass or other related passes within seven days from the date of cancellation by:
- posting it to MOM Work Pass Division;
- depositing it into the Deposit Box at the Employment Pass Services Centre; or
- surrendering it at the Immigration Checkpoints at the point of departure.
