Why is this requirement only applicable to employers with at least 10 employees? Does this mean employees in companies with less than 10 employees will not receive any employment facilitation assistance?

To avoid placing too much administrative burden on extremely small firms (i.e. those with fewer than 10 employees), we have exempted employers that hire fewer than 10 employees from submitting mandatory retrenchment notifications.

However, we encourage all employers to notify MOM of any retrenchment, so that WSG and the tripartite partners can reach out to retrenched employees to offer employment facilitation assistance.
