Am I eligible for paternity leave as a PR, or a foreigner working in Singapore?

As a foreigner or permanent resident, you are eligible for government-paid paternity leave as long as your child is a Singapore citizen and you meet the other eligibility criteria.

If your child is not a Singapore citizen, check with your employer on whether they provide company-paid paternity leave.

Employers are encouraged to adopt family-friendly measures such as paternity leave to allow employees to balance their family and work commitments. This will in turn help them to contribute more effectively at work.
