Singapore Human Capital Summit

In partnership with the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA), MOM launched the Singapore Human Capital Summit (SHCS) on 22 to 24 October 2008.

The premier Asian human capital conference, anchored in Singapore, it provides a platform for business and HR leaders from Asia and beyond to discuss the region’s unique human capital challenges and shape effective strategies.

With the theme of “People Strategies for Asia", SHCS not only creates a marketplace for HR ideas, but also raises awareness of the importance of HR among local business leaders and the profile of HR as a profession.

Past speakers

Speakers at past summits comprised renowned business and thought leaders and senior HR practitioners from around the world, as well as senior politicians.

The stellar line-up of distinguished speakers includes Prof Gary Hamel, Business Expert and Author; Mr Benjamin Zander, Conductor, Boston Philharmonic Orchestra; and Mr Harish Manwani, Chief Operating Officer, Unilever.

Senior politicians who have graced SHCS’s opening ceremonies include Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean and Deputy Prime Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam.
