Corporate Planning Department
The Corporate Planning Department (CPD) works in close partnership with other divisions and departments in MOM to ensure that MOM has the strategic capabilities and resources to implement its business and organisational strategies so as to achieve its mission and vision.
The mission of CPD is to drive the formulation and execution of effective corporate strategies to enable MOM to achieve its desired outcomes.
We collaborate with MOM divisions and departments to drive strategic planning, corporate performance and risk management, and organizational excellence. We seek to enhance MOM’s strategic knowledge and information on our operating environment, improve quality of collective strategic thinking, and continuously review and monitor MOM's strategies and organisational performance. We champion and build capability and capacity in knowledge management, innovation and corporate social responsibility to advance MOM’s organisational excellence.
We ensure that sufficient resources are available and optimally allocated to facilitate the implementation of the Ministry's strategies and achievement of desired outcomes. We achieve this through the formulation and implementation of sound corporate financial policies with the aim of strengthening the capability and effectiveness of the organization in terms of financial procedures, resource allocation and utilization.
In promoting understanding and adherence to financial policies, we also play a pivotal role in enhancing corporate accountability and the judicious use of public resources. We collaborate with MOM divisions and departments in their financial management to ensure accurate and timely financial statements and management reports on the financial health of the Ministry, to assist management in resource allocation and utilisation decisions.
