Corporate Communications Department
About CCD
The Corporate Communications Department (CCD) formulates public communications plans to support the Ministry of Manpower's (MOM) efforts in building a globally competitive workforce and great workplaces for all Singaporeans. CCD engages the MOM's varied audiences via media relations, marketing communications and brand development and management.
Media Relations
CCD advises the MOM on its media strategy when communicating its policies, programmes and initiatives. This includes the development of key messages, recommended channels of communications and media management. CCD supports a proactive approach to media relations and works closely with the press to facilitate prompt responses to its queries and access to its spokespersons.
Marketing Communications
In partnership with MOM divisions, we develop effective and creative ways to promote initiatives such as Work-Life Harmony programmes or market our services such as labour dispute conciliation. We reach out to the public and our stakeholders via public relations events, public consultation exercises, print and TV education campaigns, direct mailers, and other publicity collaterals. CCD also tracks communication programme outcomes for better decision making and resource allocation.
Brand Development and Management
We collaborate with MOM divisions to build public awareness with the clear intention to strongly brand the Ministry, build customer understanding and trust in MOM's programmes, services and initiatives.
As the Ministry's manager of its corporate identity and brand, CCD also champions the symbolic articulation of our business through the consistent projection and implementation of the organisation's corporate image and visual style across all media. CCD also maintains the corporate website which functions as another platform for the public to better appreciate the Ministry and its services.
